Ellie Beck, better known as Petalplum, guides you to find your own visual voice in your creative practice. Learn the fundamentals of loom weaving and how to develop a style that sings of your own personality. Using botanically dyed natural fibres, Ellie's classes and creative practice are based on finding an inner quiet to still your mind while making something thoughtfully beautiful. Natural & Botanical Dye and other fibre arts classes are also available online and throughout Australia.
BRITTANY MCLAUGHLIN [THE WEAVING WORKSHOP]
'Ground. Path. Fruition.' is a self-paced creative weaving e-course that inspires weavers of all skill levels to find their voice at the loom by interpreting photographs and weaving textiles with unconventional materials. Practical education in basic 4 harness weaving structures is included, as are readings and discussions about fabric making that are shared in our private online Facebook community.
As part of this online tutorial for beginners, you will step through the basic and fundamental processes of creating your own weaving. This course offers a combination of skills from Maryanne’s beginner and advanced classes, as well as some techniques yet to be taught in the workshops. Maryanne will be participating as a special guest speaker in our upcoming retreat, The Weaving Kind Makerie!
